The Story Behind

About

Halima Kilgore is the founder and host of Voices On Death Row. A French-Algerian advocate, her work is driven by a deep commitment to human rights, animal welfare, and global justice. For over 17 years, Halima has maintained a consistent correspondence with Borgela, a relationship that evolved from simple letters into a powerful mission to humanize those silenced by the justice system.

01 // PERSONAL LIFE

A proud French-Algerian, Halima is an avid reader who finds inspiration in her heritage and her travels to her native Algeria. Beyond her work with the podcast, she is a dedicated volunteer, serving as an Executive Administrative Assistant for UBFSF. She dedicates her personal time to informing the public on international human rights crises, focusing on regions including Syria, Iraq, Libya, Congo, and Palestine.

02 // VOICE & EXPRESSION

Through the Voices On Death Row podcast, Halima provides a platform for the unheard to share their truth. By bridging the gap between the prison walls and the public, she uses storytelling as a tool for advocacy—aiming to humanize the incarcerated, educate the public, and spark meaningful conversations about the realities of the justice system.

03 // SUPPORT & ADVOCACY

Halima is a passionate voice for the marginalized, focusing her advocacy on global warming and crimes against humanity, including the treatment of the Uyghurs in China. Her work is a testament to the power of empathy and the belief that every individual deserves visibility and dignity.
